About this focused free calculator

One format.
A transparent byte count.

PCMspace is a free local planning calculator for the stored payload of uncompressed, byte-aligned PCM audio. It derives bytes from a format and duration, then keeps explicitly entered additional file bytes separate.

A calculation you can trace

Each complete frame contains one stored sample per channel. The tool multiplies exact frame counts by exact bytes per frame. Stored width drives storage; optional valid signal bits explain the representation without changing the count. The original worked guide explains this arithmetic and links to primary Microsoft, NIST and EBU references.

Bounded scope

This site has one calculator. It does not record, upload, analyse, compress, decode or convert audio. It makes no quality, hardware-support, speaker-layout or complete-container compatibility recommendation. Whole-frame ceiling is an explicit planning convention. A 32-bit scalar-field check is separate from complete WAV fit. Additional overhead is entered, never guessed.

Free use and current funding status

No account, purchase or conversation is required. This prepared release has no active advertising, analytics or consent-management scripts. Publisher metadata and ads.txt prepare for possible future exact-host setup; they are not approval, serving or income evidence. If services are enabled later, the privacy disclosure must be reviewed before publication.

Shared portfolio contact

PCMspace belongs to the same independent tool portfolio as Yardfill. The contact page transparently reuses the existing shared public forwarding alias; it is not a new PCMspace mailbox. Read Privacy for local input handling, ordinary hosting requests and email processing.
